A signal is send from the brain to the penile region to release the nitric oxide that will relax the penile muscles, allowing the arteries to open up and fill the Male reproductive organ with blood. It is also very necessary that the blood in the Male reproductive organ remains for the sufficient time so that men are able to hold the erection for the sufficient amount of time.
