Your Pillowcase Can Prevent Acne Spreading!
The simple task of changing your pillowcase every now and then isn’t so hard, and it makes one hell of a difference! Back when I was 14, I had severe acne. And me and my parents searched really hard to find different acne solutions, we must of spend thousands in just one year on all those rubbish acne products, whilst some did help a little bit – most of them did nothing! Then I suddenly realised the problem was staring me right in the face the whole time, literally. Before I used to change my pillowcase about once a month! Yes, I know that’s quite bad. But then I started to change it and wash it nearly everyday and I actually seen results in my acne clearing up straight away.
Did You Know…
Did you know that after sleeping on your pillowcase for a couple of days, it’s filled with bacteria. Bacteria from your hair, skin, and anything else that comes out your mouth, nose or ears! You may even wash your face every night and every morning, but that doesn’t stop the bacteria from absorbing into your skin and start spreading around, thus causing acne. Using a dirty pillowcase ( acne Pillowcase ) aggravates an acne condition. Your face naturally secretes oils during the night. These oils are sticky. So if you pillowcase if dirty, you are allowing your face to collect extra waste during the night, which could further clog your pores.
It may sound extreme, but if not changing your pillowcase frequently is like taking a dirty rag and rubbing it all around your face for six to eight hours a day. Changing your pillow case daily can help those with acne due to the fact that your pillowcase has bacteria, dust and other acne-causing agents on it.
If you suffer from acne, you are probably very diligent about your skin care routine and you cleanse your skin properly each and every night. However, sleeping on the same pillowcase nightly may cause your acne may look worse than it did the night before.
A scourge of teenagers and adults alike, acne is one of the least understood of all skin conditions – and one of the most common. Usually associated with youth, acne can last well into the adult years and sometimes throughout life. It’s tough to treat, especially if approached as a dirty skin problem. And if not cared for properly, acne can produce scarring on the face and body that is difficult, if not impossible, to clear.
Many people have no idea how often they should be washing their pillowcases. Let’s put it this way – if you’re doing it once a month you’re not changing the linens often enough. If you’re doing it every day, you’re going a little overboard.
When people ask me how often they should change their pillowcases, this is what I suggest. If you have dry or normal hair and you don’t sweat a lot at night, changing your linens once a week should be enough. However, if you have very oily hair or you sweat excessively while you sleep, twice a week should be your goal.
Changing your pillow case and cleaning your sheets roughly every week will keep your skin happier and cleaner A lot of people use the term acne pillowcase. But it will also allow you to sleep better too! After a wash your sheets and pillow case are much cleaner, fluffier and you will look forward to wrapping yourself up in them. This will in turn contribute to better sleep, less stress and once again cleaner skin with less acne. So to eliminate acne you need to keep your sleeping environment as clean as possible. Most people go out into the polluted world for roughly eight hours every day. Their skin is met with dirt, oil and lots of other harmful toxins that are living outside in our polluted cities. Don’t add to the assault on your skin by making the place you sleep another bacteria and toxin attack.
To learn how to control and get rid of your acne pillowcase and clear up your complexion you need to get rid of the acne pillowcase TODAY!

What exactly is acne? Good question. The amount of people who believe it to be just facial pimples, or boils on the face is quite high in numbers. While this assumption is right, it is also wrong. Acne involves “much-much more.” There is a lot of people that walk the street with their face covered in pimples and boils purely because of this misconception, and the reason is, because the treatments they use is most likely more appropriate for treating the “much-much more” than just pimples and boils.
Acne is a skin condition which comes either in mild or severe eruptions. Mild acne is usually treated and cleared up with over the counter medication, but, if it is the severe sort then medical intervention maybe necessary. Acne happens due to the overproduction of oil by the oil glands of the skin. The oil that usually lubricates the skin gets trapped in blocked oil ducts and the outcome is pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads, but it can also bring deeper skin lesions called cysts.
Recognizing acne
Pimples are tiny swellings that might contain pus.
Blackheads are dark formations on the skin which are reasoned by a buildup of oil and cells in a blocked skin pore.
Whiteheads are small white or fleshy colored bumps duly caused by pore blockage.
Cysts are closed sacs under the skin surface or deeper that contain fluid or semisolid matter.
Is it not just teenagers that suffer from acne, no I am afraid not. Anyone can develop acne. Why folk assume this is, because acne does commonly occur in young people in their teenage years. I bet you like me at some time have had to listen to the cries of a frustrated teen, who after buying bottle after bottle of clearasil to clear their spots still remain disappointed – because their acne still remains too. The most likely reason why adolescents are more affected could be due the high hormonal activity during puberty. You will find there are particular body parts where the skin is more susceptible to acne because it contains a large number of oil glands. For instance, there are about 2,000 oil glands per square inch on the forehead. But greater amount of oil glands is found on the face, chest, shoulders and back.
If you suffer from bad acne then taking proper care of your skin will help control the condition, prevent zits and pimples developing, or even cure the acne altogether.
All men have to shave, but what all men do not have do, is shave incorrectly. To avoid skin conditions developing then the process of shaving has to be done with pristine care. You need to soften your beard/moustache before shaving with warm soapy water to avoid nicking pimples. Also, consider using a safety razor or electric razor.
All traces of makeup should be removed at night with a mild soap and warm water. You need to be wary of some cosmetics as they can cause an acne flare-up, so be vigilant and discontinue using the problem product. Wash the skin with a mild cleanser that has been formulated for the purpose of treating acne. Cleanse the skin in the morning and evening and after exercise. Rinse skin thoroughly to remove all soapy matter.
It is a catch 22 situation for people who have oily hair that needs daily shampooing. Its not good to wash the hair excessively but in this case people have no choice. If you do find the need to wash your hair often then use a mild shampoo but do not use as much as you would normally do.
Apply a warm moist compress to the infected skin to help open blocked pores.
Astringents work well on pimples and for reducing inflammation. Ask the chemist assistant for advice on the best astringent to use
Taking certain oral contraceptive pills can worsen acne, but in the same breath some can improve bad acne.
Acne awareness
You are doing more damage than good if you pop a pimple or squeeze a zit. However tempting it is, do not, as it can leave a scar and cause inflammation. Sunlight is supposedly said to help reduce acne, but too much sun exposure can cause serious health problems (skin cancer.) While this is true that the UV light in the suns rays may reduce the P. acne bacteria and their by-products that cause inflammation, nevertheless it can increase the risk of whiteheads. No matter how hard you scrub pimples they are not going anywhere. Acne cannot be removed by repeatedly washing the skin over and over, and the seriousness of this course of action can result in dry skin.
Is your acne holding you back from getting on with your life? Is your pimply complexion an embarrassment for you? Do you dodge people in the street so you do not have to come face to face with them? If you do then stop it, its easier to treat acne than avoiding the things you do in life.
Some useful acne advice
We found the vast majority of people suffering with acne abhor the idea of using medications concocted in a laboratory, and therefore evade the issue of looking for a cure. This problem is easily solved by using natural ingredients, or products containing them to treat bad skin. And the plus on natural is there is no worry of having to deal with side effects. Natural treatments consist mainly of treating acne from the inside out. There are also herbal remedies available that treat acne topically. Internal health needs to be kept healthy in your fight against acne. Vitamins, antioxidants, a good diet and regular exercise will keep the skin healthy.
Diet
Antioxidants stand up against the negative effects of free radicals in the human body. Free radicals are the byproducts produced from your digestive system and can attack healthy cells. There are food types that contain antioxidants. Upping your intake of these foods will help keep cells healthy. Eating a well balanced diet is essential to keep skin at its best. The human body needs specific vitamins, minerals and nutrients daily to stay healthy and in tip top condition. Eat foods that are not highly processed and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Drink plenty of water to flush out the system to rid toxins.
Exercise
Daily exercise increases the function of the organs and cells which will help keep toxins out of the body. Yoga, walking, aerobics or cycling is good forms of exercise.
Natural-Products
Tea tree oil, aloe vera, zinc and vitamin A are natural products used for treating acne. Although labeled natural these sources might include chemicals for preservation so check ingredients before use.
Unfortunately, and depending on severity levels, acne treatments sold in the local pharmacy may not be strong enough to treat cases of severe acne. Since this condition can be disfiguring and require years of treatment, its important to see a skin specialist (Dermatologist.)
Acne Conglobata is a chronic severe form of acne vulgaris distinguished by:
Deep abscesses
Bad skin damage
Scarring and inflammation
Blackheads which are typically noticeable and extensive-often happening on the face, neck, chest, upper arms and/or buttocks
Acne fulminans is an instant onset of harmful inflammation. It appears instantly in people with inflammatory acne and is distinguished by:
Severe and often ulcerating acne
High Fever
Inflammation and aching joints
Nodulocystic Acne.
When speaking on the topic of acne you will always hear mention of pimples, spots, rash, redness and boils, but never cysts. Cysts are not normally recognized as an acne problem, but with this particular condition its actually characterized by cysts which can measure several centimeters in diameter. Cysts can come singly, or be prevalent over the face, neck, scalp, back, chest and shoulders. And can also cause pain to the sufferer.

One of the most common ways of treating acne scars is by utilizing the technique of microdermabrasion. In contrast to regular dermabrasion procedures, microdermabrasion is not as serious a procedure and simply is used to treat the outermost parts of the skin, rather than to promote healing deep underneath the top layers. For that reason, many with acne scars that are more superficial in nature turn to this method to reduce the appearance of these scars or get rid of them altogether.
The pros of microdermabrasion are many, and include the fact that there is little pain involved and no anaesthetic is required, unlike with many other skin treatments. Also, you can get this procedure done at many locations, including doctor’s offices or even spas. You can even do it at home, though many experts recommend forgoing that option. Still, many people do buy home microdermabrasion kits and report varying levels of success, which means it could possibly work for a lot of folks.
One of the limitations of microdermabrasion is actually related to the convenience and comfort of the technique. Because it is a simple procedure that does not intend to work deep within your skin, you will not see a great difference with severe scars, such as ice pick scars. Instead, your greatest improvements will be with scars that are raised above the skin, at the skin’s level, or just below by a tiny bit. For more severe types of scars, other acne scarring treatments are preferred and recommended.
The process involved with a microdermabrasion procedure varies, as most of them used to be carried out by blasting the skin with tiny, microscopic crystals to exfoliate the outer layers of skin. Now, there are also different methods that are sometimes used, such as the diamond technique, which may not have as dramatic an effect as other types. The cost for microdermabrasion is not much per session, but since several sessions are conducted in total, the complete cost can be over $500 or even towards the $1,000 mark.
Microdermabrasion has long been one of the most popular ways of treating acne scars, and that does not look like it will change anytime soon. With so many acne sufferers ending up with minor (but noticeable) scarring that they would like to get rid of or minimize, it is no wonder that many still opt for this form of acne scarring treatment.
